Job Title: Simulation Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Simulation Developer to support our role as a prime contractor on a prominent U.S. Navy weapon system project. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of system integration and dynamic analysis capabilities, coupled with a desire to refine MSVA processes and procedures. This role involves developing simulations to enhance our team's capabilities in interface design, system design, and architecture layers, ensuring alignment with program requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate simulations for testing, validation, and evaluation of subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify simulation needs.
- Develop simulation models and validate simulation results.
- Utilize expertise in simulation development and modeling.
- Employ programming languages such as C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink to create simulations.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of professional work experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience in system simulations for message traffic.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
- Experience with simulation software such as Simulink or HLA.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of Cameo Systems Modeler and/or SysML.
- Ability to write well-understood code documentation.
Work Environment
The position involves working with advanced simulation and modeling software in a collaborative environment. The candidate will interact with diverse teams, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to support U.S. Navy weapon systems projects. The role requires adapting to dynamic project requirements while ensuring high-quality simulation outputs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.
