Production Worker – Test Strip (2nd Shift)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Worker to join our team and contribute to the assembly and inspection of high-quality test strips. This role involves packaging products, operating basic production tools, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting defective materials, monitoring material levels, and supporting overall production efficiency. Occasional extended hours may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and inspect test strips with precision and attention to detail.
- Package products and operate basic production tools.
- Lift and handle materials up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Identify, separate, document, and report defective materials and products.
- Monitor material levels and communicate shortages promptly.
- Follow all SOPs and maintain compliance with quality standards.
- Perform additional duties and work extended hours when necessary.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in production, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Familiarity with production line operations and quality control processes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment & Schedule
- Renowned manufacturing facility specializing in chemical and test kit production for water quality monitoring.
- The facility produces nearly 600 different test-kit configurations, including wet-chemistry and dry-chemistry methods, as well as microprocessor-based instruments.
- Established in 1930, with a team of approximately 90 employees.
- Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, with potential for overtime.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.00/hr.
