Production Worker – Test Strip Manufacturing
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Production Worker to support the manufacturing of high‑quality test strips. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and packaging products while ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards. This position is well‑suited for individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced production environment and take pride in accuracy, consistency, and teamwork.
The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials up to 25 lbs., and maintain focus and precision throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and perform visual inspections of test strips to ensure accuracy and quality
- Safely lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Package finished products and operate basic production equipment and tools
- Identify, segregate, document, and report defective materials or products in accordance with procedures
- Monitor and track material levels to support uninterrupted production flow
- Follow all SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including occasional extended hours as business needs require
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment
- Ability to work effectively in roles such as line worker, machine operator, or picker/packer
- Proficiency with packing and packaging processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Additional Qualifications
- Entry‑level candidates are encouraged to apply; stable work history and strong work ethic preferred
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn and grow within a production setting

Work Environment & Schedule
- Dynamic manufacturing environment with approximately 90 team members
- Monday–Friday operation
- Available shifts:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (six current openings)
- Join a respected company founded in 1930, with a diverse portfolio of wet‑chemistry, dry‑chemistry, and microprocessor‑based test kits
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
