Develop accurate cost projections for public safety and civic architecture projects. Ensure that budgets align with design intent and project goals. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to provide reliable cost data throughout all phases of design and construction.
Responsibilities- Develop accurate cost estimates for public safety and civic projects.
- Calculate costs, perform material analysis, and conduct labor and equipment analysis.
- Review architectural plans and analyze project scope.
- Ensure budgets are realistic, aligned with project goals, and consider market conditions and risks.
- Utilize software such as BIM, Procore, and Bluebeam.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction materials, methods, and building systems.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
- Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and value engineering.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- In-depth knowledge of market conditions and project risk management.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $57.69 - $62.50/hr.
