Description
The OSP Aerial Lead/Foreman will be responsible for performing various types of work across the DMV footprint. This work will be supporting broadband initiatives across various clients not limited to Crown Castle, Comcast, Verizon, State Department, etc. This work will include performing new builds and pole replacements/transfer for aerial fiber or small cell (wireless) deployments. They have a separate team that will perform splicing and node balancing, but if they have that experience then that is a huge plus. This will mainly consist of setting poles, transfers, over lashing, strand, and pulling fiber/mounting equipment, etc From time to time, there will be light manhole work. The Lead will be completing the work and providing oversight, quality control, and guidance of a few small crews (can vary from 2-4 depending on job). Need to be open to getting hands dirty as well. The majority of their work for the next 6 months is in St. Mary's county. The work flow will consist of 2 weeks in St. Mary's, 1 week local work BAU, this setup will continue for at least the next 6 months. Candidates need to be open to traveling and staying the night in St. Mary's Monday-Thursday, will be back on Friday (performing local BAU) and weekends. During the BAU week they will be subject to Baltimore City, DC, PG County, Montgomery County, and Harford County for BAU. So, resource needs to be flexible and willing to travel and stay overnight. Hotels and Per Diem will be provided. Need to be able to provide coordination and close out documentation to end clients of Project Managers (Willing to train here) They will get a take home company vehicle. On a daily basis they will report to the Perry Hall office location to gather materials and then go to various commercial job sites to perform work. 95% of time they will be dispatching out of Perry Hall location, with White Marsh being 5% of the time. They have a team that focuses on fiber splicing, one that does that ground work (Digging with conduit), and one that connects RF. There is an on-call rotation that is not mandatory, but would like resources to be flexible to help out 1-2 times every 4-6 months. This could be nightwork or emergency calls for Crown/Comcast.
