Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Job Description
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for supporting the firm’s day-to-day financial activities, focusing on billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This role requires proficiency in Excel, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and processing of client billing using Deltek Ajera.
- Manage accounts payable: enter vendor invoices, track payments, and reconcile statements.
- Oversee accounts receivable: monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding financial transactions.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance and operations team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Deltek Ajera (not required) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment
The position requires 100% onsite presence for training, after which it will transition to a hybrid model. One week will consist of three days onsite and two days working from home, while the following week will be four days onsite and one day from home.
Compensation:$31.25
