Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Duration: 12-month contract to hire

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to support a large highway design project. This is a hands-on, outdoor role for a dependable professional who can lead survey operations safely and efficiently while collaborating with office and field teams.
- Coordinate daily with field coordinators, project managers, and office staff
- Supervise survey crew members and ensure quality data collection
- Perform daily data uploads/downloads and maintain survey equipment
- Assist with field work as needed (equipment transport, site preparation)
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement with evolving survey technology
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 3 years onsite survey experience (required)
Experience with using robotic total stations and GPS (SHA experience preferred, not required)
Proficiency with Trimble or similar survey equipment (GPS, robotics, total stations, levels, data collectors)
Ability to work independently AND lead a crew
Strong safety mindset and reliability in all weather conditions
Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD (not required)
MicroStation experience a plus

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WINDSOR MILL, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
