Building Envelope Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Building Envelope Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in exterior building envelope renovations, analysis, design, and construction administration. This role involves working on moisture intrusion evaluations and renovation designs, with a focus on institutional or hospital projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exterior building envelope renovations, analysis, and design.
• Administer construction processes and manage projects efficiently.
• Evaluate moisture intrusion and develop renovation designs.
• Prepare construction documents and technical reports.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for design and project management.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and architects.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in exterior building envelope renovations and construction administration.
• Proficient in moisture intrusion evaluations and renovation designs.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, AutoCAD, and Outlook.
• Technical expertise in building envelope.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with institutional or hospital projects is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Construction, or Structural Engineering.
• EIT or Professional Engineer’s (P.E.) license preferred.

Specializing in the repair, renovation, and adaptive reuse of existing buildings, sites, and infrastructures, the firm offers a hybrid work schedule with two remote days and three in-office days based in Rockland. Enjoy flexible Fridays, with the option to shut down at 1pm if work is frontloaded earlier in the week.
