Shift: 1st (5am-3:30pm) Monday-Friday
Optional OT on Saturdays (8 hours)
Job Duties:
- Operate forklifts to transport metal coils and materials to production areas or the shipping department
- Operate slitter machine to slit coils and use tape measure to verify measurements.
- Review work orders and verify correct materials, including weight, alloy, size, and quality
- Prepare and package materials according to customer and internal packaging instructions
- Use basic hand tools and production equipment such as automatic banders, core cutters, shrink wrappers, nail guns, and circular saws
- Properly identify all slit material and complete required documentation with accuracy
- Group finished coils by work order and stage them in designated areas
- Prepare metal coils by trimming to customer‑specified widths and perform final checks on coil specifications
- Identify all edged material by alloy, size, melt, weight, and edge type, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
