Job Description
The Warehouse Lead will oversee the stockroom operations, ensuring efficient receipt and dispatch of inventory. The role involves supervising workers handling inventory received from incoming trucks using pallet jacks, carts, scanners, and computer systems. The Warehouse Lead will verify that packaging slips match incoming freight, stock new materials into the correct aisles, and maintain FIFO (first in, first out) part bin management. Additionally, the role requires managing materials for the manufacturing floor, ensuring timely distribution and transport of final products to the shipping area using a hilo or pallet jack.
Responsibilities
- Supervise stockroom operations and staff.
- Ensure accurate receipt and dispatch of inventory.
- Verify packaging slips match incoming freight.
- Stock new materials in correct aisles and maintain FIFO management.
- Count and distribute materials needed for the manufacturing floor.
- Transport final materials from manufacturing to the shipping area.
- Export finished products into outgoing trucks, ensuring inventory accuracy.
Essential Skills
- 1+ day of experience using scanners or hand scan guns.
- 6+ months of experience using a pallet jack in a warehouse or manufacturing plant.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, 4-6 times per shift.
- Basic computer skills, including turning on the computer, opening documents, and reading instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with hilo equipment (sit down or stand up).
Work Environment
The role is based in an extremely clean, 5S manufacturing facility where everything has a designated place. The stockroom temperature can fluctuate with the seasons due to the opening and closing of S&R doors, so bringing a coat or jacket, along with a hat and gloves, is advisable to stay comfortable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
