Essential Skills
- 5+ years experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer, with the ability to develop, implement, and optimize machining manufacturing processes and systems within a production environment.
- 5+ years experience in the medical device, aerospace, or high tolerance precision machining industries.
- 3+ years experience programming CNC lathes using G+M code and proficiency in Esprit or MasterCAM, with a preference for 5+ years.
- Experience managing multiple projects and machines simultaneously, including equipment selection and 3D CAD.
- Strong project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Engineering Degree or certificate in CNC machining or manufacturing technology.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Experience selecting equipment for manufacturing.
- Prior job shop experience, especially in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
Work Environment
The role involves reporting to the Engineering Manager and working within a team of four other engineers. The typical working hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with some flexibility for earlier start times. Engineers currently average 45-hour work weeks. The team works primarily with the aerospace and hydraulics divisions, serving major customers like Parker Hannifin, Stratoflex, and Triple Inc. The company specializes in producing high-quality precision components for various industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Agricultural, and Automotive. The position offers 10 days of PTO, 6 standard holidays, and access to Udemy after 6 months.
