Job Title: Yard Worker
Responsibilities
- Unload returned trailers and remove all rentable add-ons such as tables, chairs, and other furniture or equipment.
- Carefully load rentable furniture and additions into a box truck for transport.
- Drive a box truck between the trailer lot and the warehouse in a safe and responsible manner.
- Organize, stage, and secure rental items in the truck and at the warehouse to prevent damage and ensure efficient handling.
- Work outdoors in the trailer lot in all weather conditions while maintaining safety and productivity.
- Lift, carry, and move items weighing 50 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Follow all site safety procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes or boots.
- Operate within the scheduled shift hours and be prepared to work longer days during the busier summer season as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate trailer movements and equipment handling.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in the yard and within the box truck.
Shift:
- 6am-2:30pm (+OT during peak season)
Pay Rate
- $19/hr
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
