Job Title: Machine Builder Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Builder Lead to join our team, working 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. This role involves the assembly of machined and purchased components for various state-of-the-art testing systems, located in Grand Rapids and Plymouth.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly of machined and purchased components.
• Work with the MIM chassis dyno for emission testing by ensuring fast inertia response times and accurate control.
• Utilize the Model 3600 Roll Brake Tester for end-of-line dynamic vehicle testing.
• Operate the Centering System 7112 to ensure precise vehicle positioning in the test station.
• Use the Non-Contact Alignment Machine for measuring, verification, and adjustments of vehicle alignment parameters.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of machine build experience.
• Proficient in blueprint and schematic reading.
• Skilled in electrical wiring and assembly.
• Ability to wire junction boxes.
• Competence with hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Tig and Mig welding.
• Mechanical and electrical assembly knowledge.

Work Environment

The facility is a clean and well-organized two-shift operation located in Grand Rapids. As a custom machine builder, products are crafted in-house from start to finish, in the fabrication shop, moving through the CNC department, and onto machine building and painting

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
