Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management & Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders across purchasing, engineering, quality, and plant operations.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and new markets.
- Support product development efforts, including concepting, design, costing, and customer presentations.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of engineering requests, quotations, and purchase order discrepancies.
- Manage the quotation process, Authorization to Proceed (ATP), and secure tooling, prototype, and production orders.
- Drive cost recovery initiatives and manage exit strategies for unprofitable programs.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, close gaps through proactive communication, and provide accurate forecasting.
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead project planning and execution using the Product Development Process (PDP) when a Program Manager is not assigned.
- Define scope, tasks, resources, and timelines; coordinate project teams and maintain meeting cadence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Actively participate in team meetings and organizational initiatives to foster alignment and synergy.
- Identify and resolve areas of lack of cohesiveness within the team.
- Support continuous improvement and best practices across departments.
Additional Duties
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
- Maintain flexibility and creativity in problem-solving beyond the scope of this description.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in an automotive supplier environment.
- Preferred:
- Experience in Electronics, Marketing, or related fields.
- 7–10+ years of experience with global OEMs.
- Proven success in cost-down negotiations with local and global OEM customers.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
