Description

Serve as the technical lead with multiple BI efforts with minimal supervision required. Coordinate tasks within the group and guide on the design management, implementation, and ongoing operation of a comprehensive BI design. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of design and construction of BI solutions, including balancing optimization, tuning, and data access. Individual must be comfortable with rapid application development and with developing requirements and design specifications for new and existing data models. Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end-users, managers, clients and other stakeholders. Assist with selection of hardware and software products for the BI architecture. Spearhead development of logical and physical data models, and ETL development, as needed. The BI Consultant is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support function design of data structures and in-depth testing. RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS: • Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights • Design and develop data models using SAP XSC and SAP XSA, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and integration. • Perform data analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making. • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security throughout the data modeling and replication processes. • Stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in SAP HANA, SAP SLT, and data modeling techniques. • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor those • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish • Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models • Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations • Configure and implement SAP SLT for data replication from source systems to SAP HANA, ensuring data consistency and accuracy. • Work closely with SAP SLT administrators to monitor data replication processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. • Analyze current ETL process, define and design new systems • Data warehouse development and work with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS • Redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance existing Business Intelligence systems • Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs • SQL querying for best results • Work with users and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions

QUALIFICATIONS: • Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Work Experience • Five years demonstrated experience in field utilizing related skills, including experience with existing standard languages and programs. • Previous experience with database management preferred. • Experience data modeling for OLTP. OLAP, Star schema, Snowflake. Skills and Knowledge • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrated working knowledge of existing development standards, platforms, databases, and languages such as: Required • SAP HANA Studio, SAP XSC/XSA, SAP SLT, SAP Data Services Nice to have • SAP Business Objects Data Services, SSIS, Power BI, Business Objects • Ability to learn fast and enjoys hopping between various tech stacks. • Must be highly creative; original thinker. • Must be naturally curious and willing to learn and experiment. • Excellent problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting and debugging skills. • Must be self-directed, accountable, and disciplined to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
