Job Description
Seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to add to our growing team. This role involves traveling from project to project, contributing to steel stud framing, finishing trim, acoustical ceilings, and interior finishing. Additional tasks may include the installation of specialized wood products, including cabinets, doors, windows, trim, and other elements within large commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform steel stud framing and finishing trim for residential and commercial projects.
- Install acoustical ceilings including precise measurement, alignments, and fitting of ceiling components.
- Install specialized wood products such as cabinets, doors, windows, and trim.
- Perform framing and general construction tasks.
- Use and maintain basic carpentry tools and equipment.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in finish carpentry in residential and/or commercial settings.
- Experience in metal stud framing
- Proficiency in using power tools and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Skilled in woodworking, cabinetry, and trim carpentry

Work Environment
Work primarily involves commercial building projects, operating Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Expect to work between 40 to 50 hours a week, primarily on the 1st shift from 6/7 AM to 3/4 PM, depending on the job site. Current projects are located within a 50 mile radius from Downtown Kalamazoo.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
