Job Title: Transportation Engineer

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, review, and inspection of transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with project specifications. Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer and a strong working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) project requirements and standards are essential.

• Develop transportation engineering designs and plans for projects such as highways, roadways, tunnels, mass transit, and aviation.
• Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with project specifications.
• Update design requirements for new and existing projects.
• Inspect new construction and existing transportation structures.

• Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer.
• Strong working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) project requirements and standards.
• Experience in roadway design, civil engineering, and transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater management.
• 5+ years of experience in design and engineering for transportation projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with MDOT Standards.

• Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Work is based in the Lansing office, with a requirement to work in the office a minimum of 2 days per week. The workweek averages 40 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, Michigan.
