Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will lead controls engineering for automation projects, design and implement PLC/HMI software, coordinate with vendors and installation teams, and support commissioning and customer buy-off. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and delivery of controls systems, contributing significantly to project success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead controls engineering for automation projects.
- Design and implement PLC/HMI software.
- Coordinate with vendors and installation teams.
- Support commissioning and customer buy-off.
- Manage timelines and expectations across multiple stakeholders.
- Navigate technical complexity during commissioning.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell, Siemens, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi).
- Experience in controls hardware design and integration.
- CNC experience (Siemens 840, Fanuc 30iB).
- Skills in servo controller and VFD programming.
- Knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, UL 508, IEC, CE standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Macomb, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
