Job Title: BIM Coordinator


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI. This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical BIM detailing and a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive construction excellence. You’ll play a key role in developing and managing BIM models, coordinating with project teams, and supporting the full lifecycle of construction projects. Since 1969, we have led the industry in the development of design and construction solutions that address job requirements while surpassing performance expectations. Our team performs the complete lifecycle of construction services from design/build to field installation, training, and maintenance for an array of services (Renewable Energy, Electrical, Technology, Mechanical, Fire Suppression, HVAC+, R and Road + Underground).


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Create and maintain Revit content, templates, and prefabrication drawings.
  • Build Revit model families for both general use and project-specific needs.
  • Coordinate models using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) tools.
  • Assist the BIM team in maintaining all BIM files, templates, and standards across projects.
  • Attend coordination meetings and collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve clashes.
  • Produce high-quality shop drawings, submittal drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Support field teams with accurate and timely BIM deliverables.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Electrical BIM detailing.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk ACC and next-generation tools.
  • Experience in Revit with the ability to create content, templates, and prefabrication drawings.
  • Working experience with various BIM authoring tools, including Revit, AutoCAD, and Recap.
  • Working knowledge of model coordination using tools such as Navisworks or Model Coordination on ACC.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Experience in fire protection, HVAC design, plumbing design, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to produce high-quality shop drawings, submittal drawings, and as-built documentation.

Work Environment

This position offers a Monday-Friday, 40-hour work week. Additional hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
