Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, contributing to our technically advanced manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes using Mazatrol Code Edits on the controller.
• Perform setups, tool changes, and offsets independently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and guide sheets.
• Conduct basic inspections using standard measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauge pins to verify specifications.
• Provide feedback to leaders to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Setup gauging and use basic inspection equipment to meet client specifications.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience as a CNC Set up Tech / Machinist on lathes.
• Proficiency in Mazatrol Code Edits and blueprint reading.
• Ability to perform own setups, tool changes, and offsets with proper tool touch-off skills.
• Basic math skills including fractions to decimals and calculator usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CNC Mill & Lathe Mazak experience using Integrix Controller.
• Prototype or production experience.

Work Environment

Enjoy working in a very clean, climate-controlled facility built in 2021. Positions are available on both the 1st shift (5am - 3:30pm) and 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12am/2am, depending on 8/10 hour shifts), with a 10% shift premium for the 2nd shift. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for 2-4 weeks based on skill level. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with the option for Saturday work.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wixom, MI.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $56160.00/yr.
