Job Description

Our customer, an automotive OEM located near Ann Arbor, MI is searching to add a software developer to their Infotainment team.

As a Mobile App Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that integrate seamlessly with our vehicles and digital ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and automotive system architects to deliver intuitive and high-performance mobile experiences for our global customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mobile applications (iOS and/or Android) that interface with vehicle systems and cloud services.

- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define app features and user flows.

- Integrate APIs and SDKs for vehicle data, remote control, navigation, and infotainment systems.

- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.

- Monitor app performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.

- Stay current with mobile development trends, automotive technologies, and industry standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Haves:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in mobile app development (Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native).

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, Bluetooth, and mobile security.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred:

- Experience in automotive or IoT-related mobile applications.

- Knowledge of CAN bus, vehicle telematics, or embedded systems.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with localization and internationalization of mobile apps.
