Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking an experienced and carded Electrician knowledgeable in MN building codes with experience in residential and commercial builds. We are offering a 4 day work week, 40 hours guaranteed EVERY week, no site/ site travel & a clean and new work environment. 

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

• Install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and appliances.

• Connect circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.

• Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.

• Make recommendations for planning layouts, installations, and repairs of wiring, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes.

• Inspect wiring and fixtures to ensure compliance with company specifications and local electrical codes.

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects, ensuring compliance with electrical codes.

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.

• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.

Ideal Candidate Brings: 

• 5+ years of skilled electrical work experience in commercial and residential new builds.

• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of electrical applications.

• Knowledge of methods and techniques for performing skilled electrical work.

• Experience with electrical, low voltage, pulling cable, troubleshooting, construction, conduit bending, and commercial and residential construction.

• Ability to work collaboratively, lead, and be a team player.

• Skilled in interpersonal communication and maintaining effective working relationships.

Work Environment

Work in a state-of-the-art 180,000 square foot facility with AC/Heat and new machinery. The position is shop-based, providing year-round work without the need for travel. Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 2:00 am, with optional Friday shifts. This role does not contribute to Journeyman or Master license hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albertville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
