As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for supporting the production lines by efficiently bringing parts to them and taking material away. You will work closely with the leads in both the paint and assembly departments to ensure their needs are met. Your role involves operating a forklift to move parts from shelves to the lines, and navigating carts and pallet jacks throughout the production floor. Additionally, you will assist other material handlers in the assembly department, work on the assembly line, and help the paint unload team with unit organization. Accurate inventory transactions using a handheld scanner will also be part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Support production lines by delivering and removing materials.
- Collaborate with leads in the paint and assembly departments.
- Operate forklifts to transport parts to the lines.
- Move carts and pallet jacks across the production floor.
- Assist other material handlers and the paint unload team.
- Conduct inventory transactions using a handheld scanner.
- Experience in inventory, material handling, or part picking.
- Proficiency with RF scanning devices.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Basic math skills including counting, adding, and subtracting.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs constantly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Capability to push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Comfortable with tasks requiring walking and standing for 8-12 hours.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling parts and tools.
- Occasional crouching, kneeling, bending, and reaching.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a manufacturing facility that is not air-conditioned, resulting in high temperatures during summer months. The paint department is air-conditioned when retrieving or delivering painting parts. The job involves significant movement within the fabrication area, which can be warm. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.70 - $22.70/hr.
