Job Title: CMM ProgrammerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our quality inspection team. This role involves programming and setting up CMM machines using PC-DMIS, inspecting machined components, and performing both 1st Article and final inspections. The position requires detailed documentation of all work performed and support for in-process inspections on the shop floor.

Responsibilities
  • Program and set up CMM machines using PC-DMIS.
  • Inspect both low and high-volume machined components.
  • Perform 1st Article and final inspections.
  • Support in-process inspections on the shop floor as needed.
  • Accurately document all work performed on inspection reports and traveler.
  • Recognize and communicate quality issues to management.
  • Assist with Return Material Authorization (RMA).
  • Support the Quality team with ISO and ITAR compliance.
Essential Skills
  • 5 years or more of quality inspection experience in the medical or aerospace device machined components industry.
  • CMM setup and operation experience.
  • Expertise in using PC-DMIS.
  • Proficiency in GD&T and ability to read Engineering Drawings.
  • Ability to recognize and identify quality issues both visually and dimensionally.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with prototype, PC-DMIS, GD&T, CMM programming, Calypso.
  • Shop math experience.
  • Experience with machined components and print to part procedures.

Work Environment

Work in a machine shop specializing in tight tolerances, serving industries such as Medical Device, Aerospace, Defense, and High Technology. While the majority of the work focuses on medical device parts, a significant portion involves aerospace components. The facility is ISO certified and includes a clean room for assembling neuro-implantable devices. Parts range in size from the size of a pen dot to a quarter, with some larger components for aerospace applications.

This is a Permanent position based out of Blaine, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $59000.00 - $88000.00/yr.
