CNC Machinist up to 33/hr - Hiring now in St Paul and Eden Prairie Locations
Any level CNC Experience Acceptable
About the Role
Step into a role where every day brings a new challenge. As a CNC Mill Machinist in our Tool Room, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced Tool & Die Makers to craft precision parts for new tools and dies. This isn’t routine production work — it’s hands-on problem solving, technical craftsmanship, and the opportunity to sharpen your skills in a dynamic environment.
Our CNC Mills are Vertical, 3-axis machines powered by FANUC controls, and we’re looking for machinists who thrive on variety, precision, and continuous improvement. If you have CNC experience in a metal stamping environment and want to move beyond repetitive production, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines
- Install tools, fixtures, and workpieces based on engineering drawings
- Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, depth) to achieve exact specifications
- Perform offsets and depth adjustments to ensure proper hole sizes and pocket dimensions
- Design, build, set up, and qualify fixtures for machining stamped metal parts
- Collaborate with Tool & Die Makers to support new tool development
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of CNC Vertical Mill setup experience
- Proficiency with 3-axis machining and FANUC controls
- Solid understanding of G & M codes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Supportive, climate-controlled work environment with modern facilities
- Up to $500/month production bonuses once permanent
- Flexible 4.5-day work week for better work-life balance
- Ergonomically designed workstations and new equipment investments
- Be part of a company investing in the future — including a recent $1.5M investment in Amada TPL punch presses
Work Environment
You’ll work in a large, well-organized sheet metal facility alongside tool making, quality, and production teams. The space is structured, collaborative, and equipped with advanced machinery including press brakes, punch presses, lasers/turrets, and CNC mills. It’s a loud but focused environment where teamwork and precision drive success.
