Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a flexible and growth-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The candidate will work across various departments, assembling hatches and panels using hand and power tools. Responsibilities include working off blueprints, preparing panels for painting, packaging completed assemblies, and cross-training in different departments as needed.

• Assemble hatches and panels using hand and power tools including drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, and a tape measure.
• Work from blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
• Prepare panels for painting by applying insulation and hanging panels on hooks.
• Package completed assemblies and fill orders efficiently.
• Cross-train in various departments to provide support when needed.

• 6+ months of mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use power tools.
• High school diploma.

The work environment is a metal manufacturing setting, similar to an auto body shop. The facility is non-union and requires wearing pants, a short-sleeve shirt or longer, and steel-toed boots. Various shifts are available including the first shift and weekend shift with potential mandatory overtime. Expect a dirtier environment typical of manufacturing work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
