About the role:
As a Chem Lab Tech 1 for second shift, you will learn to perform setup and monitoring of different pieces of analytical equipment. You will also perform troubleshooting of the analytical equipment when you determine that the equipment is performing below expectations or when you observe negative trends. Perform routine, basic, repetitive assignments involving detail visual mechanical and dimensional inspections in chemistry and physical measurements following approved procedures.
You will report to the Team Manager for the Chem Lab for third shift and be located at Columbia, SC supported 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and monitor analytical equipment
- Calibrate and operate equipment.
- Prepare required reagents, solution, and standards.
- Review data and able to identify trends and interpret analytical results.
- Trouble shoot and maintenance of equipment
- Perform 1st echelon maintenance.
- Follow procedural trouble shooting steps.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, work area, and equipment.
- Perform dimensional inspections and physical measurements
- Visual inspection.
- Measure product with non-destructive measuring equipment.
- Analytical chemistry
- Perform analysis of solutions and powders.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent or relevant technical degree
- 0-2 years in an analytical laboratory that Identify process upsets
- Perform standard shop math
- Perform basic conversions and statistics
- Analytical chemistry techniques
- Chemical Technology certificate or similar would be nice to have
