General Production Worker

As a Greenhouse Production Worker, you'll work closely with supervisors to produce greenhouse products from start to finish, contributing to a team effort in a rewarding environment.

• Assist in supervising the sowing of seeds, sticking unrooted cuttings, and transplanting plant material into finished containers.
• Supervise the placing, spacing, and hanging of plants in the greenhouse.
• Work on an assembly line as part of a team to accurately produce products in a timely manner.
• Maintain plant health by executing tasks directed by production management.
• Work accurately and timely from a checklist in a fast-paced and active environment.
• Process orders by pulling and packaging plant materials from various growing ranges and prepare them for shipping.
• During winter, assist with Winter Product Assembly, including spruce tip pots, wreaths, and other winter décor.
• Assist growers with pulling and packing poinsettias for retail and wholesale customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Detail-oriented with accuracy in assembly and production.
• Ability to work well within a team structure using effective communication skills and following instructions.

• Experience in production, general labor, and packaging.
• Passion for working with flowers and plants.

Work in a large greenhouse, which can get cold in the winter and warm in the summer. Be prepared to work in all weather types. The role requires standing and walking all day and comfortably lifting 25 pounds regularly. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.

This is a Contract position based out of Inver Grove Heights, MN.

The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
