Job Title: EDM Machinist DIRECT HIRE
Job Description
The Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Wire EDM Machines, specifically AgieCharmilles 2004 models. This role requires proficiency in using PEPS OPTICAM for programming and effective communication with designers and toolmakers to gather necessary information.
Responsibilities
- Program Wire EDM Machines using PEPS OPTICAM.
- Set up and operate AgieCharmilles 2004 Wire EDM Machines.
- Communicate with designers and toolmakers to gather necessary information.
- Utilize downtime efficiently by engaging in programming tasks.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in programming and operating EDM machines.
- Experience with Wire EDM, CAD/CAM, and PEPS OPTICAM.
- At least two years of recent experience in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of the tooling process and EDM/CNC machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to adapt to flexible shift timings as needed.

Work Environment
The machinist will work in a relatively clean but sometimes loud machine shop, equipped with standard CNC and tool-making machinery. The shop is a good-sized building, separate from the main facility, with a typical 7 AM - 3:15 PM shift, though there may be flexibility depending on candidates' needs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $81000.00/yr.
50% match of 401K up to $10,000 15% discount on Ottertail Corp stock machinist get 2 weeks PTO to start, 3 weeks if on 2nd shift -Currently offering a $5K sign on bonus as well but that is not a permanent offer - going through end of March -20% shift differential on 2nd shift and 33% for weekend shift (1st shift - 12 hour days) -Company offers year end bonus (depends on profit/revenue) -Standard benefits for health, dental, etc -Life insurance provided for employee, spouse and dependents and paid by company
