Job Description
Engage in MIG welding on mild steel and utilize blueprints to weld and assemble products as needed. Prepare materials for welding using fixtures and ensure the proper location of finished products within the shop, using a forklift if trained. Operate both manual wire feed welders and automatic welders with precision, adhering to appropriate specifications for welding wire, heat, arc, speed, depth, and weld bead size. Perform proficient welds in all positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, and down, while conducting inspections as required by standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel.
- Follow blueprints to weld and assemble products.
- Prepare materials for welding using fixtures.
- Identify and move finished products to the proper location within the shop using a forklift, if trained.
- Operate manual and automatic welders with appropriate specifications.
- Perform proficient welds in all positions.
- Conduct inspections as required by standards.
- Proficiency in MIG welding.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints.
- Experience with welding and fabrication.
- Skilled in TIG welding and flux core techniques.
- Ability to weld stainless steel.
- Fitting and blueprint reading capabilities.
- Experience in welding and fabrication.

Work Environment
Work in an organized but industrial shop environment that can become hot during the summer months. Expect to get dirty occasionally and be comfortable with going outside on rare occasions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Litchfield, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $31.00/hr.
