Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facility systems. You will perform daily and weekly machine lubrication, conduct preventative maintenance, and provide creative solutions to maintenance challenges. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and adapt in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and weekly machine lubrication and care.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Replace HVAC filters and perform basic HVAC upkeep (non-licensed tasks).
- Assist with general building maintenance as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and collaborate on repairs.
- Maintain and manage the facility’s preventative maintenance schedule and documentation.
- Provide creative, practical solutions to maintenance challenges.
- Operate forklifts safely when required.
- Assist production teams by running equipment during maintenance downtimes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
Essential Skills
- Experience with machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt.
- Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Reliable, self-directed, and committed to safety.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with punch presses, press brakes, or similar equipment (preferred, not required).
- Basic welding experience is a plus.

Work Environment
You will be working in a production environment where safety is a top priority. Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required. While primarily based in an office environment, you will have occasional exposure to moderately loud equipment. Eye protection is necessary while operating equipment and in the plant area. Proper protective footwear is highly recommended throughout the plant.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MANKATO, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $31.25/hr.
