Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team. The pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, compounding medications, and advising healthcare professionals. This role offers the opportunity to advance into a Pharmacist-in-Charge position, with potential for higher pay and day/evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to standard formulas and processes.
• Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders.
• Ensure the accurate intake and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders.
• Dispense medications and counsel nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Advise physicians about medication therapy and counsel nursing facility staff on general health topics such as diet, exercise, and stress management.
• Provide information on products like durable medical equipment and home healthcare supplies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacy License in the State of Minnesota.
• 1 year+ experience
