Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will play a key role in leading the engineering team towards success. This position involves providing direction and supervision to departmental staff, overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to ensure product functionality and cost efficiency, and ensuring seamless collaboration between the engineering team and other manufacturing departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and supervision to departmental staff.
- Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for product functionality and cost efficiency.
- Ensure cohesive collaboration between the engineering team and other manufacturing departments.
- Develop equipment to aid in the manufacturing process.
- Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of project planning and implementation.
- Provide project status and risk assessments across the company.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure manufactured products meet expectations.
- Develop expertise in plant areas and support new product launches and continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay informed about advancements in materials and manufacturing as they apply to the company.
- Manage and coordinate the administrative and operational staff, systems, and activities for optimal maintenance of building properties.
- Direct the maintenance of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management.
- Support ISO environmental efforts during manufacturing development and improvement processes.
- Provide leadership in safe plant operations.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering field
- 5 years of manufacturing engineer experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Preferred automotive experience
- Knowledge of TS, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, Lean Systems, Root cause analysis, Corrective Action/Preventative Action, 8D
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced with frequent daily interruptions. The role involves interfacing with 6-10 engineers daily and working cross-functionally with maintenance, floor, and engineering personnel.
