Job Description

PAY: $20 and after 60 days raise to $23.30 (Union)

Join a leading global provider of packaging lifecycle solutions as a Production Worker. You will be part of an essential team working on the 55-gallon steel barrel line, where you will help process metal through a barrel line to form and seam weld. This role is highly physical and requires a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment involved in the production of steel barrels.
• Load and maneuver metal barrels, drums, and plastic containers.
• Utilize chain conveyors, automatic cutters, and burners to remove paint from used barrels.
• Maintain production speed and accuracy while adhering to safety standards.
• Perform quality control checks and ensure products meet specifications.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in forklift and machine operation.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with welding and seam forming equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to safely handle hazardous materials.
• Previous experience in unionized manufacturing environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills for equipment issues.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
