Sanitation Lead

Job Description

As a Sanitation Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, primarily through Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes. Your day will consist of tasks such as hooking up hoses, operating pumps, and running premeasured chemicals through equipment. You will also perform manual cleaning duties during downtime, including mopping, sweeping, foaming, spraying, and using a large squeegee to direct liquids into drains. After a few days of training, you will work independently, requiring self-motivation, strong communication skills, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes, including rinsing, caustic cleaning, and sanitizing.
• Execute manual cleaning tasks during downtime, such as mopping, sweeping, foaming, and spraying.
• Utilize a large squeegee to move liquid on the ground into drains.
• Work independently after initial training period.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning.
• Familiarity with CIP processes is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective in following written and verbal instructions.
• Understanding of safety rules and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with janitorial or sanitation duties.
• Comfortable with repetitive and manual tasks.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
