Manufacturing Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement test plans that define product characteristics and identify issues to determine corrective actions and improvements. The role involves creating documentation, including operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials. The engineer will maintain and enhance KPI systems and control strategies, lead improvement projects, and facilitate the use of improvement tools such as DMAIC while performing statistical and root cause analyses.


Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans to define product characteristics and identify issues to determine corrective actions and improvements.
  • Create documentation including operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Maintain and improve KPI systems and control strategies.
  • Lead improvement projects and facilitate use of improvement tools such as DMAIC.
  • Perform statistical analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Design KPI systems and visual control strategies for senior positions.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical fields.
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control concepts, data analysis, and diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Expertise in process and project management and improvement.
  • Base knowledge for fab testing assembly.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective internal consulting skills with all levels of management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the DMAIC process.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Training and/or certification from an American Society of Quality (ASQ) recognized program or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Tools such as VSM.
  • Leading DMAIC Process and Projects.

Work Environment

This is a production-based role that supports the lines and involves performing analyses. The environment requires working with advanced technologies and tools, and may include shifts or varying hours depending on production needs.
