Job Title: CNC Haas Mill Operator
Job Description
This role focuses on setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC Haas vertical mills (3, 4, and 5 axis) with Fanuc controls to produce high-precision aerospace and medical components. You will work with a variety of stainless and exotic materials, hold extremely tight tolerances, and follow strict industry standards while performing your own initial quality checks and program edits at the machine.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Haas vertical mills in 3, 4, and 5 axis configurations using Fanuc controls.
- Work with a wide range of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, brass, and other exotic alloys.
- Maintain tight tolerances of ±0.0001 inch on aerospace and medical parts in accordance with strict industry standards such as ISO and ASQ.
- Perform machine set-ups and offsets according to blueprint specifications and operational layouts.
- Read and interpret blueprints and CNC programs to ensure accurate part production.
- Perform initial quality checks on parts at the machine to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Calculate, adjust, and optimize feeds and speeds to maintain tight tolerances across various metals and exotic materials.
- Edit CNC programs at the machine using G and M codes to improve process efficiency and part quality.
- Set up and operate CNC multi-axis Haas mills, including handling very small parts down to the size of a fingernail.
- Understand and apply tooling requirements, including pre-setting tools and selecting appropriate tooling for exotic metals.
- Collaborate with team members in a job-shop environment to meet production goals and maintain high quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while operating machinery.
Essential Skills
- At least 3 years of CNC mill set-up experience.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC Haas vertical mills in 3, 4, and 5 axis configurations.
- Experience working with Fanuc-controlled CNC machines.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances of ±0.0001 inch on precision components.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and operational layouts.
- Ability to read, understand, and edit CNC programs, including G and M codes, at the machine.
- Skill in calculating and adjusting feeds and speeds to maintain tight tolerances on a variety of metals.
- Knowledge of tooling requirements and applications for CNC milling operations.
- Capability to perform set-ups, offsets, and initial quality checks independently.
- Comfort working with very small parts, including components as small as a fingernail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Live-tooling or multi-axis machining experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of tooling applications for exotic metals such as Inconel, titanium, and other high-performance alloys is a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO and ASQ quality standards for aerospace and medical components.
- Experience working in a job-shop environment with a focus on high-mix, high-precision work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise parts.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative shop environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64480.00/yr.
- Climate Controlled and super clean - Guaranteed 3% company contribution to 401k (not a match. For example, if you put in 6% they put 3% and if you put 0% they put 3%) - 1 week PTO right away plus the Minnesota sick pay on top of that - Average tenure is 10+ years - Life Insurance - Health, dental, vision, etc... (their benefits for a single person are very phenomenal) - Sometimes will have a bonus at the end of the year depending on company performance/profits
