Job Title: Mechanical Assembler – 2nd Shift – CONTRACT‑TO‑UNION – $26/hr – 3:30pm–2:00am Mon–Thursday

Join a dedicated team as a Mechanical Assembler on 2nd shift (3:30pm–2:00am, Monday–Thursday). This is a contract‑to‑union opportunity with strong long‑term potential, assembling school tables, desks, and chairs for a leading manufacturer of classroom and cafeteria equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble school tables, desks, and chairs using hand and power tools
  • Use power drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, rivet guns, sockets, and wrenches
  • Drill and attach hinges, legs, and arms to furniture components
  • Ensure high‑quality, durable construction on all finished products

Essential Skills

  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Accurate tape‑measure reading
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and consistent work history

Additional Qualifications

  • Mechanical assembly or production line experience
  • Ability to pass a tape‑measure test during the interview

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.26 - $26.01/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
