CNC Swiss Operator

Job Description

As a CNC Swiss Operator, you will manage long-run production on CNC Citizen and Tsugami Swiss machines. You will primarily work with aluminum and occasionally with precious metals. Your responsibilities include inputting metal into the vise, operating the machine, and ensuring it functions properly. Additionally, you will conduct visual inspections of parts using quality equipment such as micrometers, pin gauges, and calipers, and work off blueprints for repeat jobs.

Responsibilities

• Run long-run production on CNC Citizen and/or Tsugami Swiss machines.
• Work with aluminum and precious metals.
• Input metal into the vise and operate the machine.
• Ensure machine runs properly.
• Conduct visual inspections using micrometers, pin gauges, and calipers.
• Work from blueprints on repeat jobs.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of CNC Swiss Operation experience.
• Experience utilizing blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology is a plus.
• Experience with machining, calipers, micrometers, lathes, and CNC operations.
• Knowledge of Fanuc, G&M codes, and G code.
• Experience in a machine shop environment.

Work Environment

Work in a small, wide-open shop equipped with newer Haas Mill machines and Citizen Swiss machines. The environment has a cleanliness rating of 7.5 out of 10. Utilize Citizen and Tsugami Swiss machines for unique and interesting government and military-grade projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, MN.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
