Job Title: Project Manager II

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The role involves working across two locations: Prairie Island and/or Monticello. The position is centered around solidifying long-term plans, enhancing project estimates, deploying team members to projects, and managing license extensions. You will be responsible for capital work and asset depreciation. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and interface with the maintenance organization and engineering department.
  • Implement projects in line with the scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Conduct weekly meetings, source vendors, initiate and manage contracts.
  • Monitor project financials and escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Engage in risk management and present projects for authorization approvals.
  • Conduct field and plant observations and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • 5-7 years of project management experience from inception to completion.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets of at least $1 million.
  • A strong preference for candidates with nuclear experience.
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Unifier, UKG Workday, MS Project, and P6/Primavera.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • ABET accreditation is desirable.
  • Finance experience is beneficial.
  • Ex-Navy (submarine/navy) nuclear experience preferred if lacking commercial experience.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • SRO certification or license is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is highly supportive and collaborative, supporting a large team of 32 people. The role involves desk work with the expectation to visit the field/plant for observation. Standard work hours apply, but during outages, a minimum of 60 hours per week is expected, with shifts of 12 hours per day for 6-7 days a week. This is a Contract position based out of Monticello, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
