Job Title: Production Laborer - CNC Dept.

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Laborer in the CNC Department, where you will work with high-quality granite and quartz materials. This role involves operating CNC water jet machines, aligning laser templates, and performing manual fabrication tasks to meet job specifications and production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC water jet machines through an automated program to fabricate granite and quartz components.
  • Position and align stone slabs accurately on the CNC table using laser projection systems.
  • Select and load the appropriate CNC program for each stone job using computer systems.
  • Change out machine parts and tools as needed for different fabrication tasks.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to machine operation and production flow.
  • Interpret job layouts and measurements to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and assist the night shift CNC operator.
  • Perform manual finishing and detailing work on stone surfaces.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in a stone or countertop fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and CNC software for program selection and job setup.
  • Familiarity with laser alignment systems and ability to interpret job layouts and measurements.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of machining, calipers, programming, inspection, and CNC setup.

Work Environment

You will be working in a production shop with lots of water running for all the fabrication tasks. The work schedule includes a day shift from 5am to 2pm, Monday through Friday, and a second shift from 2pm to 12am, Monday through Thursday, with training provided during the day shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
