We are looking for a dedicated Blending Operator to join our team, responsible for blending ingredients, cleaning in place (CIP) of line circuits and blend tanks, connecting tanks and piping, and sanitation. You will follow established procedures and run setpoints to achieve quality control approved products. This role involves performing line circuit and tank piping connections in the blend room, ensuring proper recirculation, product discharge, and tank transfers.
Responsibilities- Blend products according to recipes and process description manuals.
- Perform line circuit and tank piping connections in the blend room.
- Ensure recirculation via liquifier and manage product discharge and transfers.
- Stage raw materials and follow batch sheet instructions.
- Record weights, manufacturing lot numbers, and quality control checks.
- Follow sanitation and cleaning in place (CIP) procedures.
- Experience in food manufacturing environment (6-12 months).
- Proficiency in mixing, batching, and using a blender.
- Understanding of food production and product quality standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide production support.
- Competence in inventory management.
- Ability to work with computers.
- Experience with fermentation processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with pasteurization and evaporation systems.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a very nice manufacturing setting with a team/family feel. Independent work is required. It can be humid and damp at times. All personal protective equipment (PPE) is supplied by the company. The position follows a 12-hour rotating schedule, with day and night shifts available. Employees receive three 15-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Night shift includes a $2/hour differential.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.25 - $22.25/hr.
