Job Description
Join our dynamic Safety Team to ensure a safe and secure working environment on construction sites. As a Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our corporate vision and ethics, fostering positive relationships with project staff and subcontractors, and enhancing our safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company's culture, corporate vision, ethics, and code of conduct.
- Build positive working relationships with the Safety Team, project and jobsite staff, and subcontractor safety representatives.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the overall project safety program.
- Manage time and resource allocation to provide safety leadership to assigned projects.
- Strive for continued growth of professional knowledge and skills.
- Provide coverage when other team members are absent.
- Enforce safety programs and related policies, implementing corrective actions in compliance with regulations.
- Aid project management personnel to ensure compliance with safety, accident, and fire programs.
- Stop unsafe practices, train correct behavior, and recommend disciplinary actions.
- Hold pre-construction planning meetings to review site safety programs and job hazard analysis.
- Provide technical and administrative direction to on-site safety personnel.
- Involve in OSHA inspections and follow-up activities.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and research safety topics.
- Conduct weekly jobsite audits and bi-weekly safety meetings.
- Train employees using company safety and hazard awareness programs.
- Evaluate training needs and make recommendations.
- Perform jobsite inspections and prepare reports.
- Review safety documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Track and identify safety trends.
- Maintain job site specific safety administrative files and records.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 7 years dedicated solely to building construction safety.
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety process management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of field experience in safety.
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 training.
- Bilingual capabilities.
- Experience with site safety and general contracting.

- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
