Job Description

Join our dynamic Safety Team to ensure a safe and secure working environment on construction sites. As a Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our corporate vision and ethics, fostering positive relationships with project staff and subcontractors, and enhancing our safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company's culture, corporate vision, ethics, and code of conduct.
• Build positive working relationships with the Safety Team, project and jobsite staff, and subcontractor safety representatives.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the overall project safety program.
• Manage time and resource allocation to provide safety leadership to assigned projects.
• Strive for continued growth of professional knowledge and skills.
• Provide coverage when other team members are absent.
• Enforce safety programs and related policies, implementing corrective actions in compliance with regulations.
• Aid project management personnel to ensure compliance with safety, accident, and fire programs.
• Stop unsafe practices, train correct behavior, and recommend disciplinary actions.
• Hold pre-construction planning meetings to review site safety programs and job hazard analysis.
• Provide technical and administrative direction to on-site safety personnel.
• Involve in OSHA inspections and follow-up activities.
• Conduct accident/incident investigations and research safety topics.
• Conduct weekly jobsite audits and bi-weekly safety meetings.
• Train employees using company safety and hazard awareness programs.
• Evaluate training needs and make recommendations.
• Perform jobsite inspections and prepare reports.
• Review safety documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Track and identify safety trends.
• Maintain job site specific safety administrative files and records.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 7 years dedicated solely to building construction safety.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety process management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of field experience in safety.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 training.
• Bilingual capabilities.
• Experience with site safety and general contracting.
