CMM Programmer - Union Foundry

CMM Programmer Needed: 1st Shift - Union & Direct Placement

Pay $35-40/hr

Job Description

As a key contributor to our new product launch team, the CMM Programmer is responsible for creating inspection programs and determining other inspection methods to evaluate machined part quality against customer specifications. The Programmer also supports the engineering team in implementing product revisions, process improvements, and providing additional inspection services.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and complete dimensional inspections using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Interpret complex drawings, control plans, process instructions, and work instructions to determine features that need to be inspected.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and a wide array of other gauges as required to complete planned inspections.
• Document detailed inspection results and full dimensional layouts for submission to customers.

Essential Skills

• Experience with CMM programming, CNC programming, GD&T, and PCDMIS.
• Proficiency in performing dimensional inspections using a CMM with PC-DMIS software.
• Ability to operate micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Strong understanding of machining, mill, blueprint, and lathe operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Formal training in GD&T, metrology, and CMM programming.
• PC-DMIS CAD/CAM experience.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Work Environment

The position operates on the 1st shift from 6AM to 4:30PM, with flexible hours on Fridays.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
