Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and securing tooling in punch presses before each production run. You will also read and interpret technical blueprints to ensure accurate production, operate metal stamping presses efficiently and safely, monitor machines during operation to maintain quality and efficiency, troubleshoot and adjust machines as needed, and tear down tooling from punch presses after production runs. This role requires some heavy bending and lifting, repetitive motion, and good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and secure tooling in punch presses before production runs.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints to ensure accurate production.
  • Operate metal stamping presses efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust machines as needed to maintain production standards.
  • Tear down tooling from punch presses after production runs.
Essential Skills
  • 1 year of previous experience in punch press setup and operation.
  • Proficiency in reading technical blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with punch press machines, including setup and operation.
  • Knowledge of using measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Work Environment

Work within a spacious and organized facility with around 20 employees on the floor between the 1st and 2nd shifts. Adhere to PPE regulations, including wearing safety glasses, work gloves when handling materials, and appropriate PPE for specific tasks such as welding. Hearing protection is required in high-noise areas, with annual hearing tests provided for all employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waconia, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
