Join a widely recognized, award-winning supplier in the automotive industry as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production machinery in a facility specializing in steel and aluminum coil blanking.
Responsibilities- Ensure machinery is in safe working order by detecting and correcting issues.
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct general maintenance of the facility.
- Document tasks in a daily shift report.
- Handle motorized uncoilers, crop shears, pinch rolls, levelers, feeders, mechanical blanking presses, automated stackers, production conveyors, and other systems.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as an electrician in an industrial environment.
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
- Experience with PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley and Modicon.
- Understanding of 3 phase electrical systems and troubleshooting up to 460VAC.
- Strong knowledge of motor controls, AC and DC drive systems, and PLC controls.
- Experience operating overhead cranes, man lifts, and fork trucks.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must adhere to all company policies, including attendance.
- Skill in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and wiring.
- Position requires 90% electrical skills and 10% mechanical skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous labor under adverse conditions.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Work EnvironmentThe position is set in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, working with a small team of maintenance technicians and a supervisor. Shifts available are 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm and 2nd shift from 4:30pm to 3am. The dress code includes jeans or work pants and steel-toed shoes. The facility focuses on manufacturing sheet metal and shipping to the Ford plant in North Kansas City.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
