BIM Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Manager to oversee and enhance our office-wide standards for construction documentation. The ideal candidate will manage Revit standards, BIM Execution Plans, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and update office-wide standards for construction documentation, including Revit standards and BIM Execution Plans.
- Perform model setup tasks such as project startup within Autodesk Construction Cloud, template selection and preparation, sheet and view setup, and base model cleanup.
- Administer the use of Revit and CAD digital libraries and templates across all projects, ensuring alignment with office BIM standards, current building and energy codes, regulatory requirements, and AEC industry best practices.
- Consistently apply quality control procedures with a strong emphasis on accuracy, completeness, and precision.
- Assist with the development of architectural and engineering site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, proposals, and related project documentation.
- Coordinate design production between internal standards and client-specific BIM, documentation, and file management requirements.
- Develop, source, and deliver Revit and CAD training through a combination of in-person, remote, and online formats, supporting users ranging from beginners to intermediate levels, with a focus on best practices and efficiency.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to identify BIM-related tasks, workflows, and collaboration needs; resolve project-specific issues related to model setup and documentation processes.
- Participate in team meetings to help address coordination, scheduling, and technical challenges related to Revit and CAD.
- Research and evaluate industry trends, tools, and workflows to ensure users have up-to-date resources and skills.
- Assist with procurement and management of office technology, including equipment sourcing, inventory tracking, system setup, maintenance, and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of AEC industry experience, including at least 2 years in an architecture firm or related field utilizing BIM/CAD technology.
- Extensive proficiency with Revit (2022 or newer).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (2022 or newer).
- Experience with electronic file transfer platforms such as email, SharePoint, Box, or Dropbox.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related business software.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam.
- Ability to train and mentor others effectively and professionally, both in person and via web conferencing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree, trade school completion, or equivalent formal training.
Work Environment
This role involves working with advanced technology and software, including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and CAD, in a collaborative office environment. The position requires coordinating with various teams and participating in both in-person and remote meetings. The work environment supports continuous learning and adaptation to industry trends.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
