Job Title: Process Engineering Manager


Job Description

This role involves managing and supporting the engineering team, while actively ensuring adherence to SQF/HACCP procedures. The position requires overseeing engineering activities and molding processes, providing guidance for plant process engineering priorities, estimating training strategies for technical staff, managing new product launches, and identifying and implementing best practices. Additionally, the role entails customer support for product performance and specification development, along with ensuring food safety within the process engineering department.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the engineering team.
  • Ensure adherence to SQF/HACCP procedures.
  • Oversee engineering activities and molding processes.
  • Provide guidance for plant process engineering priorities.
  • Estimate and develop new training strategies for technical staff.
  • Responsible for managing new product launches.
  • Identify and implement best practices.
  • Provide customer support for product performance and specification development.
  • Ensure food safety within the process engineering department.

Essential Skills

  • Continuous improvement.
  • Plastics injection molding expertise.
  • Knowledge of KPI and ERP systems.
  • Thin wall high-speed injection molding experience.
  • Plastics and tooling proficiency.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Capital project management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a plastic injection molding environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership, training, and mentoring experience.
  • Experience in high-speed injection molding.
  • Tooling and tool design expertise.
  • Basic KPI and ERP experience.
  • Capital project execution experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
