Job Description
The Maintenance Technician, also known as the Technical Specialist, will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of the production line for the manufacturing of home and garden products. This role involves ensuring the production machinery and equipment are operating efficiently to maximize productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform setups and changeovers of production lines and machinery.
- Conduct maintenance on conveyors, gearboxes, motors, cappers, fillers, labeling, and packaging machines.
- Perform adjustments, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment to maximize run time.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, executing necessary repairs for all breakdowns.
- Check the quality of products throughout the production process.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing environments performing general maintenance.
- Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing packaging equipment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing setups and adjustments on machinery.
- Experience with replacing motors and gearboxes.
- Ability to perform quality checks on machinery and products.
- Experience in high-volume production lines is preferred.
- Food industry experience is advantageous but not required.
- Basic electrical knowledge and experience, such as unwiring/rewiring motors, is preferred.

Work Environment
This role operates within a manufacturing environment. You will be working alongside general production workers, machine operators, and forklifts. Shifts are structured as 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a rotation of four days on and four days off. A 30-minute unpaid lunch is included in each shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.50 - $33.50/hr.
