Job Title: Accounting Assistant


Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. You will support our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, and expenses, as well as updating our accounting database. This position is in Construction Accounting and will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience.


Responsibilities

  • Data Entry
  • Filing
  • Mail processing
  • Post vendor invoices into the accounting system
  • Obtain approval and reconcile discrepancies
  • Enter receipts daily into accounting software
  • Research and answer vendor inquiries
  • Prepare and schedule payments
  • Prepare checks for payment and appropriate documentation as required
  • Post credit card receipts
  • Reconcile credit card accounts
  • Create and post invoices
  • Record and reconcile payments
  • Payroll data entry to include timecard verification
  • Provide administrative support
  • Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Communicate directly with field personnel to collect and track field tickets and receipts
  • Special projects as needed

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Good command of English both oral and written
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with accounting software (preferred)

Work Environment

This position is fully in office, located in a small office in Pleasant Valley, MO. The company has a very casual environment with a small company feel, where you will be able to wear multiple hats.


Compensation:$25
